DLR WAVES (A)

In a tightly contested match at Whitehall, Dominic Foley's side battled to a 1-1 draw against DLR Waves. Despite DLR Waves taking the lead early on with Michelle Doonan's goal, Treaty United refused to back down. Stefanie Young, in a memorable moment, netted the equaliser just before halftime, marking her debut goal in her first start for the club.

This hard-fought draw ensured Treaty United's progression to the quarter-finals of the Cup. Their impressive journey showed a confident 0-2 victory over Crusaders Strikers, and a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Shamrock Rovers in the previous rounds. Following these results, they secured the second spot in Group D, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Shamrock Rovers by goal difference.

Treaty United is set to clash with Galway United in an exciting away quarter-final match on the weekend of June 22nd.

WOMEN'S PREMIER DIVISION

In Women’s Premier Division action it’s been a busy few weeks for the Treaty side.

CORK CITY FC (A)

In an electrifying display, our girls travelled to face Cork City FC at the recently reopened Turners Cross. The anticipation for the Munster derby was palpable, especially with the added thrill of the game being broadcasted live on TG4. Amidst a closely contested battle with opportunities scarce on both ends, it was the emerging talent of Katie Lawlee that illuminated the field. Seizing a moment of opportunity, Treaty won possession high up in Cork's half and Lawlee expertly dispatched the ball into the net, much to the delight of the travelling fans. Yet, with the knowledge of Cork's resilience in recent matches, the side remained vigilant, understanding the need to press on, and press on they did. Delana Friesen, with her unwavering precision, found the back of the net not once, but twice before the final whistle blew, sealing a resounding 0-3 triumph and securing three crucial points for Treaty United. In recognition of her stellar performance, Katie Lawlee rightfully earned the Player of the Match accolade. Spirits were certainly high on the bus ride home after that one.

PEAMOUNT UNITED (H)

In a closely contested fixture at the Markets Field, Treaty United endured a heartbreaking defeat to last year's champions Peamount United. Ellen Dolan's late 89th-minute strike sealed a dramatic 1-0 victory for the Dubliners, leaving the Treaty side devastated. Despite a goalless first half, Treaty had several near misses, including Erin Van Dolder's free-kick brilliantly tipped over the crossbar by Peamount's goalkeeper, and Fiana Bradley's effort hitting the post just before halftime. Both teams continued to create opportunities in the second half, but it was Ellen Dolan's clinical finish from inside the box that ultimately decided the outcome, securing the win for Peamount United.

WEXFORD FC (A)

In their most recent match on May 25th, the team travelled to Ferrycarrig Park to face Wexford FC. It was a closely contested game, with both sides showing strong performances throughout. The match was level at 1-1 for much of the time, reflecting the even nature of the competition. However, a late goal from Wexford FC secured them a 2-1 victory and all three points.

The team's focus now shifts to their upcoming clash in the Women's Premier Division as they host Shelbourne FC at home at the Markets Field at 5pm on June 8th.

10 Things We've Learnt About Treaty United This Season

By Emma Dineen As the League of Ireland First Division heads well beyond the midway point, Treaty United find themselves at a crucial juncture. With a mix of promise, challenges, and intriguing storylines unfolding, the 2025 campaign has been anything but dull for the Markets Field faithful. From a solid defense to a squad that’s arguably too big, and a star midfielder carrying much of the goal-scoring burden, the first half of the season has given me plenty to think about. Here are 10 things I’ve personally observed about Treaty United so far, and what I believe they mean for their ambitions moving forward… (All Photos From KBD Photos) 1. A Rock-Solid Defensive Spine Keeps Treaty Ticking While much of the chatter around Treaty United in 2025 has focused on their attacking output, it’s the backline that’s provided the real foundation for consistency. A settled core four of Ben Lynch, Eóin Martin, Robbie Lynch, and Evan O’Connor has emerged as the preferred starting four, with Corey Cha...

Playoffs Slipping Through The Fingers: A Turning Point For Treaty?

By Emma Dineen All opinions expressed are 100% my own, unless stated otherwise. It’s been a rough few weeks for Treaty United. Draws upon losses and no league win since early July. With just eight games left, the pressure isn’t just building, it’s biting. Even the online chatter has shifted. Back in spring, fans were buzzing about playoff pushes and the squad’s potential. Now? The conversation is sharper. Criticism of tactics, team selection, even the club’s direction is bubbling up. After nearly five years, the honeymoon period is seemingly coming to a close. Then came Dundalk. What was meant to be another gritty night against the league leaders turned into a collapse for the ages. Treaty’s flaws didn’t just show; they were neon-lit for all to see. Dundalk Run Riot At The Markets Field Just over a month ago, I wrote that Treaty had quietly carved a reputation as one of the league’s trickiest opponents for the big boys. In 2024, Cork City couldn’t lay a glove on them: four meetings, no...

Back for More: Treaty United and Derry City Set for FAI Cup Rematch

By Emma Dineen There’s something different about cup nights in Limerick. The floodlights, the sense of occasion, the chance to defy expectations. This Friday, the Markets Field will once again play host to that magic, as Treaty United welcome Premier Division heavyweights Derry City in a mouth-watering Second Round tie in the 2025 Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup. A Rivalry Reignited The backdrop to this clash is rich in recent drama. The last time these two sides met in the FAI Cup was in October 2022, under the lights at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium. On that occasion, Derry struck early, with Jamie McGonigle and Brandon Kavanagh putting them 2–0 up inside 16 minutes. Enda Curran pulled one back from the penalty spot after Jack Lynch was fouled, but despite a late surge from the visitors, including a near miss from William Armshaw, Treaty fell just short. Derry marched on to the final, where they would eventually lift the trophy. Two years later, the roles are reversed in some ways....
